Skills Development Groups

Skills Development groups are lead by Daniel Manastireanu (EFT Supervisor) for EFT practitioners who are looking for a cost efficient way to improve their skills in a remote group environment. The groups are (currently) limited to six participants per session, which each participant having 30 minutes to present, while the others observe, give feedback and help by embodying clients or playing a client role with their own material.

Participants can use their 30 minute slot either to develop a skill by doing skill practice with support, or use it for supervision – where they bring a client which they can embody themselves and the supervisor will work with them, or ask another participant to embody and they work as the therapist, with the supervisor’s guidance. (If participants wish to bring a video for supervision, the 30 minutes will count towards their accreditation.)

Here’s what to expect: For each participant, we will spend the 30 minutes like this:

  • 5 minutes intro, in which the participant brings one issue to work on: a skill they want to practice, a client they want to discuss/embody
  • 15 minutes of actual work, with timeouts here and there to discuss theory and make comments on what’s happening
  • 10 minutes of debrief, feedback and discussion on what just happened and what you want to take forward
